About Harmony, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Harmony is a town located in Iredell County, North Carolina. The United States Census Bureau reported Harmony had a population of approximately 533 people in 2010. The town is located about 55 miles from Charlotte, North Carolina.

In 1927, Harmony was incorporated as a town. The town’s early roots go back to the Harmony Hill Camp Meeting, a two-week religious revival meeting that was held on what are now the Elementary School grounds. The event was attended by individuals from the area and was viewed as a social gathering as much as a religious gathering. The first meeting took place in 1846 and is still held during the second week of October.

Despite Harmony’s small size and rural location, the town has strived and succeeded in providing residents various amenities such as a public library, a family park and community center, one public elementary school and a fire department. There are several other amenities and features located in the town that all contribute greatly to improving residents’ quality of life. Harmony also hosts several community events such as the farmers market, the 4th of July Community Breakfast and an annual Christmas parade.

Harmony is located in a climate that experiences warm, humid weather during the summer season and cool weather during the winter season. It is not uncommon for temperatures to climb up the mid-90s during the months of June, July and August. In addition to warm temperatures, the summer months receive plenty of precipitation. Cooling units will help keep homes and individuals cool and comfortable during the summer season. Also, heating units will keep individuals warm during the months of winter. Temperatures range from the low to mid-50s on average throughout December, January and February. At night, it is not uncommon for temperatures to dip below freezing. Residents will find it necessary to hire professional HVAC technicians to install heat pumps or furnaces in their homes to remain warm and dry throughout the winter season.
